	Mr. Meng Jianxin was born in Dongping County of Shandong Province in December 1952. He began his career in January 1969 and joined the CPC in October 1971. He has education background of university level. Currently, Mr. Meng holds the office of the deputy director-general and leading member of CPC of the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Shandong Province. Prior to this, he successively held the posts such as farming worker of Yellow River Farm in Kenli County, squad leader of artillery regimen and confidential secretary of army headquarters of an army of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, assistant engineer and engineer of Jinan Railway Bureau, assistant president of Survey and Design Institute Bureau of Jinan Railway, deputy director, director and deputy Secretary of committee of the CPC of Jinan Foreign Economic and Trade Commission and commercial counselor of Chinese Embassy in Guyana.
