IV. Opening up
Jining has established relationships with 135 countries and regions. There are more than 1,000 foreign-invested enterprises and US$2 billion of foreign investment. The world-famous enterprises such as Komastsu Corporation, Japan, Daewoo International Corporation, Korea, Eaton Group Co., Ltd. of the US etc are among the investors. Jining is becoming the key production base for MNCs.

There are over 1,000 enterprises engaged in foreign trade and economic business in Jining. The export commodities of the city mainly consist of 700 varieties of 16 categories i.e. bulldozer, tractor, generating unit, antibiotics, garlic, shelled peanut and textile and garment, and down suits etc with more than US$1billion annual output exported to 156 countries and regions throughout the world.

V. Cost of Investment
Price of Industrial Land:
Comprehensively assessed price of the land “seven supplies and one leveling” is RMB 420 yuan/sq. m
Preferential price for industrial land is RMB 165 yuan/sq. m
The high-tech projects involved in large scale capital can enjoy zero land rental policy.
Rental Price for industrial workshop:
Standard workshop is RMB 7 yuan/month sq. m in the first year, RMB 9 yuan/month sq. m in the second year, RMB 11 yuan/month sq. m from the third year on. The high-tech projects enjoy zero rent in the first three years.
Electricity Cost:
Price of electricity for large industry groups is RMB 0.48 yuan/kwh
Price of electricity for ordinary industry is RMB 0.56 yuan/kwh

VI. Tourism
In Jining lots of the remains left over by our ancestors such as “the Great Heaven, the Young Heaven and Xuanyuan Huangdi”. The great thinkers and educators in the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 B.C.) and the Warring States (475-221 B.C.) such as Confucius, Mencius, Yanzi, Zeng Tsu and Zisi were all born in Jining, which is regarded as “the hometown of Confucian and Mencius, and the origin of Chinese culture”. Li Bai, a famous poet in Tang Dynasty (618-907), lived here for over a decade.

Jining enjoys the boundless blue Weishan Lake in the south and Liangshan Mountain in the west, which gave birth to the famous novel “Outlaws of Marsh”.
