VI. Economic Zone
Taian High and New Technological Industry Development Zone is the provincial-level development zone designated by the provincial government. Located in the southern part of Jiancheng District, Taian City, it neighbors Beijing-Shanghai Railway in the east, Beijing-Shanghai Speed Railway in plan in the west, Beijing-Shanghai Expressway in the north and Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway in the south. It covers 50 sq. km according to the plan. The infrastructure is mature in the zone and the investment environment is perfect. Now the zone has shaped the high and new technological industries like e-info, mechanical and electrical integration, new materials and medicine and biological engine. The service systems like logistics, bonded tax and processing have also been shaped. The zone is going to be a new modernized industry zone with the integration of Taian Scale Economy Assemble Zone, High and New Technological Transform Zone and Eco-environmental Protection Trial Zone.

Preferential Policies
1. The new established production enterprises with a management period over 10 years will get the financial rewards which are equal to 40% of the incremental tax received by the local government in the first 3 years and the that equal to 50% of the income tax received by the local government in the first 5 years. The provincial-level or above high and new technological enterprises will get the financial rewards which are equal to 100% of the incremental tax received by the local government in the first 3 years and 50% of the income tax received by the local government in the first 5 years.
2. The new established enterprises with a management period over 10 years and a fixed assets over RMB 1 million yuan, dealing in non-production industries such as in business, service industry, tourism and entertainment industry, will get the financial rewards which are equal to 50% of the income tax received by the local government in the first 5 years.
3. Those developing industrial standard workshop, residential buildings and business buildings will get the financial rewards which are equal to 100% of the incremental tax received by the local government in the first 5 years and 10% of the income tax.
4. If the domestically and internationally leading high and new technological projects need auxiliary assets, they can resort to the risk investment fund, the enterprise development fund and the hatch fund established by the zone management commission for help. The loans obtained from other ways will get the deducted interests from the local finance for 3 years. Those loans are also guaranteed by the local finance but they cannot be used other ways.
5. If the international top 500 enterprises with their invested high and new technological projects and industrial projects, and the production foreign invested projects with an investment over US$20 million use land, they only pay the land tax based on 40% of the evaluated land price.
6. The foreign invested production projects with an investment over US$10 million or above or the national top 500 enterprises with an investment over RMB 50 million yuan only pay the land tax based on 50% of the evaluated land price.
7. The production projects invested by the provincial-level high and new technological enterprises and those in the stock market or with an investment over RMB 50 million yuan only pay the land tax based on 55% of the evaluated land price.
8. The production projects with an investment over RMB 30 million yuan only pay the land tax based on 70% of the evaluated land price.
9. The projects in the tertiary and service industry like tourism and entertainment pay the land tax based on 80% of the evaluated land price. Those in real estate pay the land tax based on 90% of the evaluated land price.
10. The development zone management commission gives the rewards that are equal to 2% of the annual actual fixed assets to the introduced projects.
11. The units using the introduced currency assets for free pay 30% of the assets as rewards to the person who introduces the currency.
12. The units using the introduced currency assets with an interests rate below 5% for over 3 years pay 3% of the assets as rewards to the person who introduces the currency at one time, with an interests rate below 7% pay 2% of the assets as rewards and with an interests rate below 9% pay 1% of the assets as rewards.
13. The development zone management commission gives a villa to the person who introduces the currency the leading products projects invested by the international top 500 and the domestic top 500 enterprises, the projects with an investment over US$10 million and the industry projects with an investment over RMB 100 million yuan. The rewarded person is not limited in his vocation.
